May Mahlangu started his career in South Africa with Alexandra United before moving to Sweden with Helsingborgs IF. During his spell in Sweden he was on loan for half a season at IFK Hassleholm before returning to Helsingborgs IF where he has won the Sweidsh league, the Swedish Cup twice and the Swedish Supercup twice also.

 May is a box-to-box midfielder who just never stops. This was refelcted in his winning the award of athlete of the year for 2011 in Sweden.

May was included in the Bafana Bafana squad for the African Cup of Nations squad, where he played in all four of South Africa’s games.
